LDII Deploy Staff and Volunteer for Padang Earthquake

Quick Emergency Response Team have been formed after Earthquake with magnitude 7.6 MW Ricther Scale at West Sumatera. DPP LDII deploy 100’s staff and volunteer from Jakarta, Lampung, Dumai, Pekanbaru and surrounding areas to help killed and injured people from Padang Earthquake.

The center of relief operation have been established at center of the city, at Masjid Miftahul Huda, Jl. Bhakti abri Kota Panjang Ikua Koto. The center have been used as shelter, logistic center for medical supply, food, clean water and mobilization center despite two other branch have been used as shelter and emergency health-care unit. The team would figure out the condition, situation, and basic needs as emergency response and relief.
The death toll continues to mount as the full scale of the disaster unfolds. According to Indonesian authorities, 1000 people are confirmed dead and 1400 are seriously injured. These numbers are expected to rise as thousands are feared to be trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings. In Padang city alone, more than 500 buildings are reported to have collapsed including schools, hospitals and hotels.
